Hi All,
It was nice to see a good attendance for our June meeting.
Michelle Pride, Community Engagement Specialist for Feed My People, came to our meeting to thank us for our bowl donations and tell us a little about the Food Bank program. John had said he counted 187 bowls delivered from our club. Michelle said the wooden ones are always more popular than the ceramic bowls because the ceramic ones way outnumber the wooden ones. Because of that, they don’t place all the wooden bowls out at once so there are always some out for people to pick later in the day.
The June demo was by John Layde on gizmos and gadgets to aid your woodturning shop.
The raffle for a 3/8″ detail spindle gouge continues until the July meeting drawing. There is still a chance to get tickets.
We had a small turnout for the Open House, but we introduced a new person to our club, and possibly a future member.
There was no president’s challenge, but we will have one for July mtg attendees.
Looking forward to seeing all who can make it to our July 1st meeting.
Dan
