We had a good attendance for our August meeting.
The Demo by Joe Nyce was a good repeat one on making a pepper mill.
We had a small turnout for the Open House, but a few members had help fixing some lathe parts, finishing the bottoms on bowls and roughing some large bowl blanks on the big lathe. A few visitors stopped in and expressed interest in joining.
The president’s challenge was to turn a bowl with a unique rim. There were some competitive entries, but the judges awarded the win to Kate Mullins who took a $10 Gift Certificate home.
Looking forward to seeing all who can make it to our September 2nd meeting.
