Prez Seyz (Nov ’24)

Hope this finds everyone in good health. November is here and we have had a beautiful Fall. There is so much to do with Fall cleanup but I hope everyone is able to set aside some time to do some turning.

We had a busy October with the first round of shop visits. It was a big hit for those that could make it.

The first advanced class was held October 19th and it was open to all members. The class was well attended and everyone was able to get some hands on with scrapers. The second of these advanced classes was held on Saturday November 16th, and went into more depth on vacuum pumps for vacuum chucking and different types of chucks you could buy or make. Three club members were in attendance.

We had a good turnout for the November Open House. Several members brought in wood free for the taking, first come first served.

Robust Lathe’s Open house was November 2nd and CVWG was well represented at the Robust Lathe Plant in Barneveld WI.

The presidents challenge for December is something to do with Christmas, and there will be a gift exchange for those who want to participate. See the newsletter for details.

See you at the next meeting December 4th at 6:00PM

Have fun turning!
Bob
